Bucharest Stock Exchange open Tuesday’s session higher
The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Tuesday’s session higher on almost all indices, with total turnover amounting to 8.38 million lei (1.6 million euros) 30 minutes after the start of trading.
The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded an increase of 0.44%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid shares listed on the BVB, posted a similar gain.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip BET-XT index, covering the 25 most liquid stocks, advanced 0.34%, while the BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund returns, rose 0.04%.
The BET-FI index of the financial investment companies (SIFs) recorded a decline of 0.52%, while BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, increased 0.47%.
According to BVB data, the largest share price increases were recorded by Grupul Industrial Electrocontact (+4.17%), Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra (+3.70%) and Armatura (+2.94%).
On the other hand, shares in Carbochim (-6.67%), Aeta (-4.50%) and Purcari Wineries Public Company Limited (-1.84%) were down.
