Bucharest Stock Exchange closes higher Monday’s trading session

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Monday’s trading session higher on almost all indices, with trades reaching 2.25 billion lei (443.33 million euros), mostly in bonds of the Ministry of Finance.
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, appreciated by 0.15%, to 21,810.89 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, recorded an increase of 0.13%.
Also, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded an advance of 0.05%, and the SIF index, BET-FI, depreciated by 0.68%.
The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, closed down by 0.06%, while BET-NG, which measures the evolution of the ten energy and utilities companies, rose by 0.21%.
In contrast, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, depreciated by 0.73%.
The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions totaling 8.1 million lei, followed by Transgaz shares – with 4.73 million lei and OMV Petrom shares – 3.62 million lei.
At the same time, the best developments were recorded by the shares of Armatura (+15%), Bittnet Systems Bucuresti (+4.56%) and Electromagnetica (+3.88%).
The most important decreases were recorded by the shares of Societatea de Constructii Napoca (-13.11%), Comelf (-8.47%) and Mecanica Fina (-5.15%).
